HALLOWEEN 2012 IN IES ALQUIBLA

During the last few days of October, the students at IES Alquibla carried out different activities in English to find out about the origins and reasons for celebrating Halloween on 31st October, especially in English-speaking countries.
In class, our students performed various activities such as readings in English, vocabulary exercises etc on this topic which served as a base to decorate the classroom with masks, monsters, pumpkins, skeletons, haunted houses, cats, bats, spiders. One example is the work produced by students in 1º and 2º which was displayed in their English classrooms.
In addition, students in 3º and 4º delighted us with a series of invitations to “monstrous and fun” costume parties on Halloween night.
Lastly, students in 2º of Bachillerato overflowed with talent and imagination by creating “scary” stories which were so beautifully decorated they made the hair stand up on even the bravest of souls.
Congratulations to everyone and until next Halloween.
