AND ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEJANDRO !!!!

THE SECOND DAY - TUESDAY, 29TH APRIL, 2014.

"La Toma del Agua" is a bilingual camp where everybody speaks English, even the monitors can't speak in Spanish, so we have to talk with them in English.

The monitors are young people from other countries, like Ireland, Italy, USA, Scotland, ... They're very funny and they are all the day laughing.

Here, in the camp, there are a lot of activities to do like, like orientation games at night, multiadventure park, a flying fox, archery, dancing, ...

I think the camp is really, really funny, and my friends agree with me, but it's really exhausting. However, it's worthy going.

WE LOVE THE CAMP !!!!

Excursion to Toril Pine

Today we went on a hike up a mountain to see a big tree called Toril Pine. We walked about ten kilometres, 5 each way. The route was too hard but fun.The down was very difficult because we tripped. the tree was amazing because it is very big.In this place the monitors told us stories about the pines.

Hoy hemos subido a una montaña cercana para ver un árbol enorme llamado Pino Toril. Hemos caminado unos 10 kilometros y la ruta fue bastante dura pero divertida.

                                           EVERYBODY AT TORIL PINE

AND AFTER LUNCH (LENTILS, BY THE WAY) SOME FREE TIME ACTIVITIES

Y después de la comida (lentejas, por cierto) tiempo libre

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALBA !!!

LOVE BOX AND BLACK BOX

Yesterday evening, we read the love letters and there were a lot of letters for the children and monitors, and we didn't have time to finish.
Later, we started the black box punishment because we broke the rules (speaking in Spanish). The punishment was "a love proposal" to Ashley (the monitor).

But first of all, we danced all together at the Music Square.

MAGNETS AND PHONE COVERS

We made phone covers with our monitors Elvi, Scott and Doder in the morning. A lot of people chose the "ninions" design. We used a needle, it was funny!
Then, we had English time with Ashley and we played "Read the future". The "future" said I will be poor, but I said "I will make my future".

Some students made magnets with scissors and comics.

Esta mañana hicimos fundas para móviles con nuestros monitores y también jugamos a "Leer el futuro".
Otros compañeros hicieron imanes.

Teacher´s Message

Hello family and friends! My name is Ashley, and I am one of the English teachers here at La Toma del Agua.  This past week, I have had a great time working with your kids.  We have shared so many laughs and learned new words--them in English and me in Spanish!  I am really happy to tell you that I, and the other teachers and monitors here, have enjoyed working with your children.  They are smart, funny, creative, and very special people.  We hope that they continue to work hard in English and go on to do great things.

All the best,

--Ashley, New Orleans, USA
